Agreement on the Provisional Management of Jobs and Skills signed at Réseau Ferré de France

On Wednesday 27 October 2010, Hubert du Mesnil, Chairman of Réseau Ferré de France, and the three trade union representatives signed an enterprise agreement relating to the Provisional Management of Jobs and Skills.

The signatories welcomed the signature of this agreement, which is a cornerstone in the company’s construction and development; Réseau Ferré de France has acquired a structured system to anticipate changes in the development of individuals and organisations, including:
Tools to promote and support mobility: professional interview, pre-mobility interview, skills passport, etc.
Support systems, such as training or assistance in jobseeking for the spouse of an employee during a mobility phase.

The signatories agreed to establish a reference framework and rules shared by all individuals at the company: executives, managers and employees.

Conscious of the issues involved and the expectations created by the negotiation and signature of this agreement, the management of Réseau Ferré de France wanted a copy of the agreement and a practical guide to be provided to each employee in November.

Réseau Ferré de France hosts PhD students

Since the reorganisation of RFF’s research structure in 2009, the company has decided to encourage, for the implementation of its various research projects, the hosting of PhD students within its facilities.

Three PhD students are already on assignment at RFF and others are expected to follow in the coming months.

PhD research work benefits both the company and students working on their thesis: this is the major benefit of this unique professional immersion scheme, which lasts several years.
