Hubert du Mesnil,
Chairman and CEO of Réseau Ferré de France.
Born on 24 September 1950 in Bayonne, France.

Hubert du Mesnil, a Senior Engineer from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées engineering school, is a former student of the Ecole Polytechnique (1969), the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (1974) and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.

He was previously an engineer at the Departmental Office of Infrastructure in Ille-et-Vilaine, where he was a senior agent, then head of the mixed arrondissement of Saint-Malo from 1974 to 1981. He went on to become Director of Operations at the Autonomous Port of Marseille from 1981 to 1987 and Managing Director of the Autonomous Port of Dunkirk from 1988 to 1993. Subsequently, he joined the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, performing the roles of Director of Ports and Maritime Navigation from 1993 to 1995, then Director of Land Transport from 1995 to 2001. He was then Managing Director of Aéroports de Paris from 2001 to 2005.

On 19 October 2005, Hubert du Mesnil was appointed CEO of Réseau Ferré de France, becoming Chairman and CEO in 2007. He was reappointed at a meeting of the Council of Ministers on 7 September 2007 for a five-year mandate.
