As the cornerstone of the French railway system, Réseau Ferré de France develops, modernises and markets access to the railway network within a rationale of territorial solidarity on a European, national and regional scale.

As the second largest French public investor, with 1,200 members of staff and a turnover of €3.4 billion, RFF is heading an unprecedented network modernisation plan worth €13 billion over the 2008-2015 period. As part of the Environment Round Table, RFF is implementing national policy on the deployment of new lines.

With industrial assets of 30,000 km of lines, RFF organises for all of its customers - railway passenger and freight transportation companies - fair and effective access to the French railway network.
